QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Pure Sunfarms is a vertically integrated, large-scale, low-cost supplier of high-quality cannabis to the Canadian adult recreation market, headquartered in Delta, BC. As a 50/50 joint-venture of Village Farms and Emerald Health Therapeutics, Pure Sunfarms is backed by one of North America’s leaders in high-tech greenhouse growing.

Here is where you come in as a Quality Assurance Manager. You will support, drive and monitor all quality system aspects for Pure Sunfarms. You will act as an official QAP as defined in the Cannabis Act and be able to pass Health Canada security clearance.
Ensures that quality systems are established, implemented and maintained in compliance with GPP and GMP
Act as a key quality assurance person and manage the QA team
Perform internal and external quality audits; coordinate and prepare site for Health Canada and other regulatory inspections
Ensure that complaints, deviations, non-conformances, investigations, corrective and preventative actions and change control are performed according to quality and regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain raw material supplier qualification process
Perform material review and determine batch disposition
Manage the Pest Control and environmental monitoring process
Manage the SOP, document approval and control process
Manage the Sanitation program
Manage delivery of training for GPP and GMP compliance as required
Other duties as required

YOUR BRAND AND STORY
We already know you love measuring quality but we want to know more about your strengths. Your qualifications include the following:
Bachelor of Science or relevant degree in the biological, food, biochemical or chemical sciences with 3-5 years of direct quality assurance experience in a food, pharma or natural health product GMP regulated consumer products industry
Familiar with Health Canada’s GPP, GMP, Cannabis Act and Food and Drug Act regulations
Strong attention to details
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements
Act with minimal supervision
Highly team oriented with excellent people interaction and good communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work and utilize multiple software tools
Must have the ability to obtain and pass a RCMP Criminal Record Check and maintain security clearance.
