As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis you will be accountable for designing and automating reports and related processes, administering the financial forecast and budget processes and associated systems, and advising the executive team on report findings and related data structures. In order to succeed in this role you must have advanced modelling skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analysing current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures;

  • Leading the development and monitoring of long-term financial models;

  • Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance;

  • Overseeing and managing the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan as well as modelling and the associated tools;

  • Defining the financial situation by completing quantitative analysis;

  • Evaluating optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns;

  • Valuating assets by appraising current condition; assessing potential;

  • Building a financial database by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying, and backing up data;

  • Analysing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes. Recommending financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals. Recommending debt structures by analysing refinancing options;

  • Improving performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understanding ROI in marketing programs, menu pricing, new store rollouts as well as new projects;

  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, formatting, analysing, and explaining information;

  • Protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential;

  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Department heads with in-depth analysis;

  • Performing ad hoc analysis for executives as required;

  • Other duties as determined by the VP of Finance, based upon the requirements of the company.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience, preferably in the medical device, pharma or manufacturing industry,

  • Experience with ERP and Consolidation systems; Previous ERP implementation experience a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;

  • CPA or CMA;

  • Ability to interpret various financial/fiscal reports, bank statements, journal entries, and ledgers sufficient to prepare reports, resolve issues/problems, or explain entries;

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills;

  • Highly organized; highest standards of accuracy and precision;

  • Ability to communicate and articulate effectively with excellent verbal and written communication skills;

  • Ability to think creatively;

  • Strong leadership skills with management experience required;

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines;

  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision-making.
