  • Perform all aspects of cost accounting including the preparation, review and analysis of product inventory costing, standard costing, overhead allocation, and related month-end processes;

  • Monitor product, project, and operating costs, in order to identify and implement cost-savings;

  • Control monthly inventory counts and annual audit of inventory including WIP counts and physical inventory functions.

  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying root causes and review recommendations with cultivation and operations management to eliminate key variances;

  • Analyze actual production costs versus standard costs and prepare reports of variances for production and labor efficiency and material usage, recommend process improvements;

  • Review monthly Costing Model;

  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner;

  • Work with Cultivation and Operations to ensure compliance with internal controls;

  • Participate in quarterly inventory reserve calculations

  • Assists in the preparation of annual budgets.

  • Assist with Audit preparation;

We already know you are creative problem solver who excels at financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, but we want to know more about your story and experiences. You are good at the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;

  • CPA designation, with professional education under the CMA program is an asset;

  • 3-5 years’ Cost Accounting;

  • Experience within cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or GMP is an asset

  • Strong demonstrated ability to use MS Office products and accounting software; ERP system experience, Microsoft AX/Dynamics Suite is preferred;

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements or improving controls.

  • Organizing and prioritizing your work to meet deadlines, and can adapt to unexpected priorities;

  • You have proven ability to build effective collaborative relationships to advance organizational goals 

  • Communication is always top of mind, with ‘who’ and ‘how’ comes naturally;

  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision-making;

  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and multi-task with competing demands and frequent change;

  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure high quality work product.
